From January 01, 2022, LINK CEO Benedikt Lüthi will take over the leadership of YouGov Deutschland GmbH as General Manager Germany. He will succeed Monika Reichl, the previous General Manager Germany, who held the position for five years. In his new role, Lüthi will be responsible for day-to-day business at the company’s German offices in Cologne and Frankfurt, with a particular focus on continuing company growth in the DACH region. In addition to his new duties, he will retain overall responsibility for LINK’s business.
“For years, YouGov Deutschland has been an innovator and a pioneer in online market research. The company has a strong, motivated team which can offer not only complex, tailored market research solutions but also top-quality, standardized data products,” said Benedikt Lüthi. “I look forward to showing existing and potential customers all the benefits of our high-quality data and developing this important market together with my colleagues.”
As Sundip Chahal, Chief Operating Officer at YouGov, explained, YouGov too is delighted to have found a suitable successor to Ms. Reichl: “We’d like to thank Monika Reichl for her hard work over recent years and we are pleased to have found a suitable successor in Benedikt Lüthi. Germany is a very profitable, important market in the Mainland Europe region and we’re sure that he’ll use his experience to boost our presence and allow more and more people to make full use of our data-based insights. For far too long now, marketing specialists and insight managers have relied on a slow supply of low-quality data which only provide an out-of-date snapshot of the way consumers think and act. YouGov offers an alternative here. Our connected data infrastructure is the best in the world and allows an up-to-date, detailed overview of people’s attitudes and behavior.”
New and previous data products for even better quality
Following an acquisition, LINK recently became part of the global YouGov group of companies and could therefore put in place a succession plan for its previous shareholders with the same business course. LINK will continue to exist as a separate brand and will be run by the existing proven management team with a focus on maximum quality and continuous innovation.
As part of YouGov, LINK will also offer YouGov’s successful data products on the Swiss market. At the same time, the partnership with the end-to-end research platform quantilope which has been used successfully for many customer projects for a number of years now will continue at full force. Dr. Peter Aschmoneit, CEO and co-founder of quantilope, explained: “We’re pleased to support LINK’s professional research expertise for the Swiss brand world as an effective insights automation technology partner. The partnership between LINK and quantilope successfully combines innovative technologies and high-quality research methods with professional, personal consultancy expertise available locally.”
Like YouGov, LINK has been growing with increasing margins for a number of years now. As part of the international group of companies, it is in an ideal position to achieve dynamic growth. LINK is looking forward to being part of YouGov in the future and offering its customers not only the high level of service quality they have come to expect but also an even broader range of possibilities through the various YouGov products which are recognized around the world.
