The LINK General Assembly has elected Prof. Andreas U. Lanz (33) as the newest member of the Administrative Board. Prof. Lanz is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and teaches business analytics in the MBA and Grande École programs of the École des hautes études commerciales Paris (HEC Paris). He is also a board member at the Swiss Data Insights Association (Swiss Insights) and a council member at kasko2go.
Since finishing his PhD at the University of Mannheim, Prof. Lanz has been conducting research projects focusing on the interface between marketing, economics and information systems. Lanz is dealing with the question how management decisions can be supported and better informed with the help of granular data.
His work has been published in the Journal of Marketing Research (JMR) and the Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ). Lanz also received the Don Lehman Award 2021 of the American Marketing Association (AMA) as well as the Rigour & Relevance Research Awards 2020 of the Swiss Academy of Marketing Science (SAMS). He further came second in the 2018 Doctoral Dissertation Competition of the European Marketing Academy (EMAC) / Sheth Foundation.
Lodovico Simone, President of the LINK Administrative Board, is pleased about the election: “We are very happy to have the young and designated marketing specialist Prof. Andreas U. Lanz join us at LINK.”
Prof. Lanz too is looking forward to his new task, particularly to supporting LINK in its next growth step: “The marketing function has been losing strategic relevance for years. LINK is perfectly positioned here. It can support the marketing function in rigorously demonstrating its value and create precise, reliable and meaningful decision bases.”
